UHB Bereavement Lead 

Position: UHB Bereavement Lead 
Location: Community/Trust Based 
Hours: 7 hours per month
Contract: Self Employed 
Pay: £20 per hour
Eligibility: Bereaved Parent who received care at UHB 

Birmingham and Solihull Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) is a Team of Service Users, who work in Partnership with local NHS Trusts, Primary Care settings and Community Organisations to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care. Our aim is to make sure that parents’ voices are heard and their needs are placed at the centre when reviewing and designing local maternity care.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an independent Lead responsible for a pre agreed geographical area/subject
  • Liase with Bereaved Service Users who have accessed Maternity care across Birmingham and Solihull.
  • Gather service user feedback, identify themes and represent these views as required by the MNVP.
  • Liaise with fellow Leads both within BSol and surrounding areas
  • Recruit, support and coordinate service user representatives.
  • Maintain oversight of MNVP activities related to bereavement
  • Support with MNVP Infant Loss Network
